Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Rogu collects, uses, shares, protects, and deletes information when you use the Rogu mobile application, website, and related services. Rogu provides public financial-disclosure information and portfolio-aware organization tools. It does not execute trades or provide investment advice.
Information we collect
- Account information: your verified email address, Cognito account identifier, selected sign-in method, and account timestamps.
- Connected portfolio information: with your permission, Plaid provides account names and types, holdings, quantities, values, and related security metadata. Rogu does not receive or store your financial-institution username or password.
- Your choices: watchlist entries, security-tracking requests, and portfolio connection and synchronization status.
- Service information: request identifiers, operational logs, errors, and security events needed to operate, protect, and troubleshoot the service.
- Launch updates: an email address you separately submit through the Rogu website to receive launch news.
Rogu also processes public SEC filings and, only after required approvals, public congressional disclosures. Those public source records are not collected from your device or financial account.
How we use information
We use the information above to:
- authenticate you and protect your account;
- show your persisted portfolio, watchlist, and personalized disclosure feed;
- resolve securities and maintain the set of stocks you ask Rogu to track;
- operate, secure, debug, and improve the service; and
- send launch updates when you separately request them.
Service providers and sharing
Rogu uses service providers to deliver the product, including Amazon Web Services for hosting, storage, monitoring, and Cognito authentication; Plaid for financial-account connection and holdings data; and Apple when you choose Sign in with Apple. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy commitments. Rogu does not sell your personal information and does not use it for third-party advertising.
Storage and retention
Rogu protects data in transit and at rest and limits access to the systems that need it. Account and portfolio information is retained while your account is active. Operational records are retained only as needed for security, reliability, legal obligations, and incident investigation. Public source archives may be retained independently of your account because they are part of Rogu's public disclosure dataset.
Your choices and account deletion
You can remove watchlist entries and disconnect an institution in the app. To permanently delete your Rogu account, open Settings, choose Delete account, review the consequences, and confirm. A successful deletion revokes connected Plaid items, removes the Cognito account, deletes Rogu-owned portfolio, watchlist, tracking, and profile data, and clears private data cached by the app. We may retain limited information only when required by law or necessary to document security or legal obligations.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the service changes. The date above identifies the current version. Material changes will be communicated through an appropriate service channel.
